Bhubaneswar: In an effort to preserve and promote Jagannath culture across the state and outside, the Odisha government is considering a move to launch a dedicated round-the-clock spiritual television channel.
Sharing this information on Thursday, Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan said preliminary discussions have already been held regarding the proposal to launch of the channel to propagate Jagannath culture and traditions.
The main objective is to spread awareness about the traditions, rituals, and spiritual practices associated with Lord Jagannath through the dedicated TV channel.
The proposed channel will go a long way in creating awareness among people about the rituals and various religious customs of Lord Jagannath.
The proposal is now at its conceptual stage and a concrete shape about the channel’s operations and launch timeline is expected to emerge soon.
