Odisha Govt Raises Food Budget of Migrant Labourers In Relief Camps

Bhubaneswar: The State Government has increased food expenditure for migrant labourers housed in relief camps to Rs 120 per adult and Rs 100 per child.

In a press release, Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Pradeep Jena stated that thousands of migrant labourers kept in the relief camps in the wake of  COVID-19 were provided food at a cost of Rs 60 per adult and Rs 45 per child in a day.

As per a Government order on April 27, food was served to the people in temporary camps four times in a day at the cost of Rs 120 per adult and Rs 100 per child. Similar provision will be extended to the inmates of relief camps from Thursday, said the SRC.
