Bhubaneswar: The state government on Tuesday stopped admission of patients to private COVID Hospitals except Sum Hospital and Aditya Aswini Hospital in the city.
According to official sources, the government took the decision in view of the decline in daily positive cases of COVID-19 across the state. The chairman of Technical Committee, COVID-19 Management had also made recommendations in this regard.

The manpower and equipment in 30 government-run COVID hospitals will be scaled up to look after the patients, the sources said.
However, the patients undergoing treatment in the private hospitals will continue there till they get recovered and are discharged, they added.
