Bhubaneswar: Acting on the guidelines of the Centre on precautionary measures to be taken during Durga Puja, Odisha government will review the daily cases in the districts during the festival.

“There is a strong possibility that the rate of infection will go up if people do not adhere to the COVID protocol strictly,” he said.

Referring to the twin cities where the rate of infection remains higher than other cities, Mohapatra said the focus will be now to ensure strict adherence to the COVID protocols. “The Municipal Commissioners, health officials and the police have been told to ensure that there will be no large congregation of the people at any place in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack,” he pointed out.
