Odisha Govt’s Land Use Intelligence System Bags National Gold Award
Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar Land Use Intelligence System (BLUIS), a 5T project of the states government, was awarded National Award for e-Governance 2020-21 (Gold) for excellence in adopting emerging technologies.
The Gold award was presented by Union Minister of Personnel Jitendra Singh to Odisha government representatives in the 24th National Conference on e-Governance organised by the Central Government.
The project uses cutting edge technology including satellite imagery and artificial intelligence to safeguard government land in the Capital City. BLUIS competed with 89 high-tech projects of Central and state government agencies.
Launched by chief minister Naveen Patnaik on July 8, 2020, BLUIS is implemented by General Administration & Public Grievance department in collaboration with BDA, BMC and ORSAC.
Sanjeev Chopra, agriculture production commissioner along with Prafulla Mallik, CEO, ORSAC; Prem Chandra Chaudhury, CEO, Odisha Adarsh Vidyalaya and Sushanta Kumar Mohanty, Director of Estates received the award On behalf of the Odisha government.
Complementing the department and ORSAC for the award, chief secretary Suresh Chnadra Mahapatra advised to strive have more such innovative technological applications for taking support quick and informed decisions.
