Bhubaneswar: As part of the Union government’s Unlock 1.0 policy, hotels reopened in the country after more than six weeks on Monday. In Odisha, a June 1 order had already allowed hotels to operate with 30% capacity, while restaurant service are open only for in-house guests.

Reiterating this, state chief secretary Asit Tripathy on Monday issued a partially modified order to the one he had released on Sunday night, whereby all religious places/places of worship and shopping malls were asked to be closed till June 30.

All cinema halls, gymnasiums, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres, bars, auditoriums, assembly halls and similar places will also continue to remain closed till June 30.

Hotels can continue to do business with up to 30% capacity.
