Cuttack: After a slight delay following disruption in power supply post Fani, the results of annual matriculation examination conducted by Board of Secondary Education (BSE) are likely to be announced in second week of May.
The evaluation of answer sheets had concluded on April 5 and the process to declare results was underway when the severe cyclonic storm struck Odisha coast near Puri on May 3.
The results, as informed by BSE President Jahan Ara Begum, was to be announced in May first week. Power disruption delayed the process and the authorities are now planning to declare the results after May 10, a senior official said.
The annual HSC examination began on February 22 and concluded on March 8 amid controversies. A total of 5,87,720 students took the exam at 2,953 centres.
A total of 16,030 teaching staff, including 761 chief examiners, 1,482 deputy chief examiners, 12,265 assistant examiners and 1,522 scrutinisers were engaged in the evaluation process in 60 evaluation centres.
