Bhubaneswar: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) of Odisha announced the results of the 2025 supplementary examinations of SHSC (Class 10) and SOSC (State Open School Certificate) on Saturday. The results showed a pass rate of 56.23% and 55.26% respectively.
Declaring the results, BSE Chairman Srikant Tarai said that out of 3,457 students who appeared for the SHSC supplementary exams, 1,944 successfully cleared them.
Among the top performers, three students secured A2 grades, while 14 and 39 students achieved B1 and B2 grades, respectively. However, 976 students were placed in the compartment category, and 474 were marked absent.
In the SOSC (2nd) supplementary exams, 10,809 candidates had registered, with 5,973 passing. The grade distribution included 13 students with A2, 232 with B1, and 723 with B2. Notably, 46 candidates were booked for malpractice, and 625 were absent.
The supplementary examinations, held between June 30 and July 10, offered a second chance for students who failed in the annual HSC or SOSC exams. By releasing the results ahead of the academic admission cycle, the BSE ensures that students can pursue higher education or vocational training without losing a year.
