Bhubaneswar: Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) MD Sudhansu Mohan Samal on Saturday visited Kurmitar Iron Ore Mines in Lahunipada block and Bonai sub-division of Sundargarh district.
The MD reviewed production, dispatch and ongoing projects while stressing operational efficiency and adherence to safety.
Samal directed the team to work towards enhancing production, achieving full Environment Clearance (EC) capacity to meet the needs of steel-based industries. He also emphasised on preventing pilferage and maintaining the highest safety standards across operations.
The officials were directed to enhance the efficiency of 1200 TPH Fully Mechanised Primary Screening and Crushing Plant.
At the despatch area, he assessed the mechanised loading system and reviewed progress of the Mechanised Wagon and Truck Loading project. He emphasised on completing the project within the timeline to strengthen despatch efficiency and support overall sales target in future.
Reaffirming OMC’s commitment to efficiency, accountability, and safe mining, Samal urged teams to adopt coordinated and technology-driven practices to ensure sustained performance in the current fiscal.
He was accompanied by Director (Operations) Sabyasachi Mohanty, Director (HR) Alok Kumar Pal, Director (Finance) Bana Bihari Pani and sectional heads from the Head Office.
