Odisha Once Again Sees Sharp Rise In COVID Cases; Khurda Leads Surge

Bhubaneswar: Odisha once again saw a sharp spike in COVID-19 cases with 334 cases reported on Tuesday.

Among them, 53 cases are in the 0-18 age group. According to the I&PR Department, 195 cases are from quarantine and 139 cases from local contacts.

Here’s the district-wise tally of cases:

  3. Cuttack: 70
  4. Jagatsinghpur: 6
  5. Jajpur: 2
  6. Kalahandi: 3
  7. Khurda: 187
  8. Koraput: 3
  9. Mayurbhanj: 2
  10. Nayagarh: 2
  11. Nuapada: 4
  12. Puri: 2
  13. Rayagada: 1
  14. Sambalpur: 7
  15. Sonepur: 1
  16. Sundargarh: 3

Besides, 37 cases are from the state pool.

With 11,451 samples tested in the last 24 hours, the TPR stood at 2.91%

The state has 1,695 active cases as of Tuesday.

After reporting 346 cases on Sunday, Odisha reported 245 cases on Monday.
