Odisha Pavilion Bags Silver Medal At IITF-2024 In New Delhi; Award For 3rd Time

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Pavilion at the 43rd India International Trade Fair (IITF) in New Delhi has bagged the silver medal.

A statement from the Information & Public Relation department said Vishal Gagan, Principal Resident Commissioner, Odisha, New Delhi received the award from Pradeep Singh Kharola, Chairman and Managing Director of India Trade Promotion Organisation at a function in New Delhi on Wednesday.

Speaking to the media after receiving the award, Gagan said, “Odisha has been continuously winning awards at the India International Trade Fair for the last three years. Our theme was the vision of the Chief Minister – Vikashit Odisha 2026. Our stalls have witnessed good footfalls. We are hopeful that the trend will continue in future as well.”

While Bihar bagged the gold medial for best thematic presentation, Odisha got the silver medal and Assam ranked third position in the trade fair.

This is for the third time in a row that Odisha Pavilion has bagged an award at the IITF. The Odisha Pavilion had won the gold medal in 2023.

The Odisha Pavilion, with a model of the gate of the famous Mukteswar temple at the entrance, had a total 25 stalls to showcase the state’s artistry, cultural exuberance and developmental initiatives.

Tribal art and crafts, products of Mission Shakti SHGs, Kandhamal range of spices, organic products like Kalajira rice, palm candy, pickles, delicacies made of Sri Anna and brown rice flakes, variety of Pitha (local cakes), Rasagola and a host of cheese-based sweet items were highly appreciated by the visitors.

The theme of the Trade Fair for this year was “Vikashit Bharat 2047”.
