Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Police is likely to introduce a National Highway Patrolling System in association with State Transport Department to check road accidents on the National Highways due to over-speeding, informed Director General of Police (DGP) Rajendra Prasad Sharma on Tuesday.
He also said that the system would be launched on a pilot basis on five major stretches in Odisha. Later, it will be implemented on other NHs of the state, added Sharma at a Road Safety workshop organised by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Crime Branch (CB).
