Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID caseload in Odisha remained below 300 for the third consecutive day on Sunday as 262 people, including 42 in the age group of 0-18 years, tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The state had reported 262 cases on Saturday, 263 on Friday, 271 on Thursday and 387 on Wednesday.
According to the I & PR department, 153 of the new infections are from quarantine and 109 local contacts. Khurda reported the highest 132 cases followed by 21 in Cuttack and 14 in Sambalpur. Ten districts saw nil cases.

Besides, 31 are from the state pool.
With these cases being detected from 60,923 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.43 per cent. The TPR was 0.40 per cent on Saturday, 0.39 per cent on Friday, 0.43 per cent on Thursday and 0.60 per cent on Wednesday.
While the COVID tally has touched at 1045471, Odisha now has 2,741 active cases.
