Odisha Sees Major Spike In COVID Cases, 189 From Khurda Alone; TPR 2.68%

Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Sunday witnessed the highest single-day COVID-19 surge in almost three months with 346 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.

The state has been reporting over 200 daily infections for the last two days.

According to the I & PR department, 202 of the new cases are from quarantine and 144 local contacts. Among them, 49 are in the 0-18 age group.

8. Jharsuguda: 2

10. Keonjhar: 1
11. Khurda: 189
12. Mayurbhanj: 2
13. Nayagarh: 1
14. Nuapada: 7
15. Puri: 4
16. Rayagada: 5
17. Sambalpur: 5
18. Sundargarh: 13

Besides, 41 from the state pool.

With these cases being detected from 12,897 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 2.68 per cent.

Odisha now has 1310 active cases.
