Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, Union Minister Jual Oram, who hails from Odisha, reportedly went missing from a train while travelling to Jabalpur from Delhi. He was later found with injuries in another train.
The Tribal Affairs Minister, who represents Sundargarh Lok Sabha Constituency, had boarded Gondwana Express train from Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station in Delhi on May 3 (Saturday). He was found missing from his berth at Damoh Railway Station in Madhya Pradesh on May 4 morning, as per a Navbharat Times report.
The railway authorities swung into action and launched a search operation to trace him. After search for over three hours, he was found in an injured condition in Sampark Kranti Express train at Sihora Road Railway Station, around 162 km away, in Madhya Pradesh.
As per reports, the Minister had got down at Damoh station at 3.45 am on Sunday and suddenly his blood sugar level dropped. He tried to board the train when it started moving. However, he slipped and sustained injuries. Subsequently, he boarded the Sampark Kranti Express train that arrived on other platform at the station after he missed his train.
However, Oram’s PA reported that the Minister was found missing at Hardua Railway Station. Later, it was found that the train had not stopped there. He was later found at Sihora Road Station at 6.55 am on Sunday. He was given first aid and then brought to Jabalpur.
