Dhenkanal: A man reportedly collapsed and died on the premises of district headquarters hospital in Dhenkanal minutes after he tested positive for COVID-19.
A heart-wrenching video of the deceased’s wife administering CPR in an attempt to revive him in front of the Fever and Flu Clinic of the hospital has gone viral.
The deceased has been identified as Sushant Kumar Prusty, who worked in a government office in Angul. He was brought to the hospital on Monday morning by his wife and brother-in-law for COVID-19 test after he developed flu-like symptoms.
The Chief District Medical Officer CDMO) said that he had alerted the COVID team after he tested positive in the antigen test. However, he died within 15 minutes.
A doctor wearing PPE kit later examined him and declared him dead.
