Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Sunday arrested assistant project manager of Odisha Water Supply & Sewerage Board (OWSSB), Bhubaneswar, Debasis Sahoo, after uncovering substantial assets during house search the previous day.
According to an official release, Sahoo has allegedly accumulated disproportionate assets, including three multi-storey buildings, two commercial shops and as many high-value plots at Jatni. The searches also yielded gold ornaments weighing around 200 grams, cash amounting to Rs 1.57 lakh, bank deposits over Rs 56 lakh, and three two-wheelers.

He was unable to explain satisfactorily the source of these assets, it added.
