Bhubaneswar: Odisha gymnast Rakesh Kumar Patra was selected for Asian Games 2018, Jakarta on Friday.
Rakesh is one of India’s top artistic gymnasts.
Odisha’s shuttler Rutuparna Panda has also made it to the 20-member squad for Asian Games 2018. Badminton Association of India (BAI) announced the names of the players on Wednesday. She is among the seven players picked by the selection committee of the federation.

Asian Games will be hosted by Indonesia in the capital Jakarta. The Games will commence one day after Indonesia celebrates 73 years of independence. From August 18 to September 2, Indonesia will welcome around 15,000 athletes and distinguished delegates from 45 Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) member nations, the largest number in Asian Games history.
