Bhubaneswar: Ollywood actress Archita Sahu will soon box the silver screen as ‘Champion’. A stunner, she will be portraying four different shades of a sportsperson through this fictional character of a boxing champion in her upcoming movie.
Produced under the banner of Dongyue Entertainment, the film is jointly being produced by N Gangadhar and P Deeptirani with K Murali Krishna donning the director’s hat.
“It is a challenging role and I have been preparing for it since last three months. The struggle of a girl in every sphere of life and how she does not give up till crowned the winner will be an inspiring and interesting watch for one and all. I have already started feeling like a sportsperson because of the rigorous workout,” said Archita, while speaking highly about the real life story of producer P Deeptirani, who will be seen playing one of the opponent boxers in the film.
It will be full-on commercial movie with songs and dance, she added.
“I had represented Odisha in kabaddi and lawn tennis some years back. I am also trained in boxing and martial arts. At the same time, I am a movie lover. Through ‘Champion’ I wanted to tell a inspiring story to the masses. I am amazed at the dedication and commitment of Archita for the role,” said producer Deeptirani.
The rest of the cast is yet to be finalised, she added.
Baidyanath Dash will score the music for the film, which is likely to hit theatres during Ganesh Puja.
