Bhubaneswar: Following the reports that people ordering online liquor were duped by fraud service providers, the state government has issued an advisory.
The government said the ON/OFF IMFL shops have been directed to display their phone numbers before the outlets. The consumers can order liquor through those numbers directly from the retailers.
Besides, some food aggregators, technology platforms and service delivery providers have been issued NOC by Excise Commissioner to supply liquor. The names of those agencies are available on OSBC website, the advisory said adding that only Zomato and Swiggy have been given permission in this regard.
Excise Superintendents have been told to file FIR against any person or agency other than those permitted by the Excise Commissioner offering home delivery of liquor.
