Bengaluru: The Railway Protection Force (RPF), in collaboration with the Excise Department, seized 35.25 kg of ganja valued at Rs 29.79 lakh and arrested four persons from Odisha at KSR Bengaluru railway station last week.
According to South Western Railway (SWR), the group, including a woman, was found moving suspiciously near the third exit, carrying trolley bags and backpacks, after arriving here on Prashanti Express on May 22.
With assistance from the dog squad, officials discovered plastic-wrapped ganja bundles in their luggage after the suspects gave evasive responses. They were detained and handed over to the Excise Department for legal action under ‘Operation NARCOS,’ aimed at stopping narcotics smuggling via railways.
