Bhubaneswar: The Mohan Majhi government is gearing up for a grand celebration to mark the completion of its first year in power.
The BJP formed its maiden government in Odisha, winning a simple majority with 78 seats in the 147-member Assembly and bringing to an end the Biju Janata Dal’s unbroken 24-year stint led by Naveen Patnaik in 2024 elections. The CM Majhi took the oath of office on June 12, 2024.
A series of programmes have been lined up to showcase its achievements and outreach initiatives, with invites sent to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Ministers and Chief Ministers from states governed by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
The Information and Public Relations Department will also be publishing special editions of Utkal Prasanga and Odisha Review on the one-year anniversary occasion. “These will feature articles on various welfare schemes, programmes, developmental projects, and success stories implemented by the state government over the past year. The publications aim to present a picture of the foundational progress made in the state’s development to the public,” the department informed with a post on its official X handle.
It has invited contributions for the special editions of the two magazines. “Interested individuals can submit their write-ups to the email address uporipr@gmail.com,” it added.
