Bhubaneswar: More than 200 volunteers of National Service Scheme (NSS) from 11 states attended a week-long national integration camp held at the Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University (SOA) here from February 21 to 27.
The camp was jointly organised by SOA and and the Regional Directorate of NSS at Bhubaneswar.
NSS volunteers from Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Assam, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and students representing 15 universities of Odisha attended the camp.
The concluding function of the camp was graced by Chairman of SOA Advisory Board and former Chairman of AICTE, Prof Damodar Acharya, who urged the students to strive to strengthen national unity.
The programme was also attended by Regional Director, NSS, Sarita Patel, Vice-Chancellor of SOA Prof Pradipta Kumar Nanda, SOA’s Director, International Relations and University Outreach Programme, Prof Nachieketa K Sharma and SOA’s Dean (Students’ Welfare) Prof Jyoti Ranjan Das.
