Pak Provincial Govt To Buy Dilip Kumar & Raj Kapoor’s Ancestral Houses For Rs 2.35 Cr

Peshawar: Pakistan’s provincial Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has agreed to release Rs 2.35 crore for acquiring Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor’s ancestral houses, which are located in the heart of Peshawar and have already been declared as national heritages.

The rate of the Bollywood legends’ havelis was determined by the communication and works department last month.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mehmud Khan has now approved the fund, paving the way for the concerned department to go ahead with the process of purchase, The Indian Express reported.

Once the houses are procured by the provincial government, they will be converted into a museum by the archaeology department.

After procurement, both the houses will be converted into a museum by the KP archaeology department.

Both buildings are a century old and in shambles.
