Srinagar: Pakistan has betrayed India vis-à-vis the ceasefire agreement.
After agreeing to stop all firing and military action on land, in the air and sea with effect from 5 pm, Pakistan started violations two to three hours later.
Srinagar and Jammu were among several cities and towns where Pakistan resorted to heavy artillery shelling and another drone charge.
“This is no ceasefire. The air defence units in the middle of Srinagar just opened up,” Jammu & Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah posted on X a few minutes ago and shared a video clip as well.

India’s air defence was also activated in Jammu, as a swarm of drones moved in.
There was heavy shelling in Akhnoor, Rajouri and RS Pura sectors near the International Border. Violations were also reported from Punjab’s Pathankot, Gujarat’s Kutch as well.
Complete blackouts have been effected in several places including Srinagar, Jammu, Kutch, Jaisalmer, Pathankot, Ferozepur, Kathua (J&K), Moga (Punjab) and Udhampur. However, as on previous nights, India’s capable air defence system has managed to repel most of the rival sorties.
