New Delhi: Nearly 300-400 drones were fired by Pakistan at civilian targets in India till late on Wednesday and Thursday, the Indian Armed Forces have confirmed. Speaking at the special briefing by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Col Sophiya Qureshi of the Indian Army and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh of the Indian Air Force (IAF) said that many of these drones were intercepted.
“The remains of the drones have been sent for forensic tests. However, prima facie, it seems that the drones were Turkish origin SONGAR drones,” Col Qureshi said.
She also mentioned that Pakistan attempted to strike Air Force Station Pathankot with an armed drone, but this was repelled.
