Mumbai: Amid the emotional turmoil and growing resentment against Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack, reports suggest that Pakistani actress Hania Aamir has been replaced in Diljit Dosanjh’s ‘Sardaar Ji 3’.
As per a report in News18, some parts of the upcoming movie were already shot in the UK. However, the filmmakers are now planning to reshoot those scenes with another actress.
As soon as the news became viral, netizens took to social media to share their views.
One user wrote, “India me zyda fame mil gyi thi 😂.”
Another commented, “This is called jaise ko taisa ❤️🔥🇮🇳.”
Meanwhile, some others were unhappy with the news.
Questioning why innocent people should bear the consequences of a terror attack, one user wrote, “Jinhone kiya unka koi dharam nai phir bekasur logo ko kyu saza mil rahi.”
Another urged, “It’s just a movie and she is artist they should release movie as planned.”
However, there has been no official confirmation about Hania’s replacement in the movie from the filmmakers yet.
Earlier, during a concert in London in October 2023, fans were elated to see Hania performing on the stage with Diljit.
With speculation about Hania being roped in for ‘Sardaar Ji 3’, fans were eagerly looking forward to the upcoming film.
Meanwhile, Pakistani actor Fawad Khan’s comeback film ‘Abir Gulaal’ is also in trouble following the Pahalgam attack as the general secretary of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), Ashoke Dubey, has called for a blanket ban on Pakistani artists.
The film, which also stars Bollywood actress Vaani Kapoor, was slated to hit theatres on May 7.
