Pandian Reviews Construction Work Of Odia University In Odisha’s Puri
Bhubaneswar: Chairman of 5T (Transformational Initiatives) and Nabin Odisha VK Pandian on Sunday reviewed the progress of first phase of ongoing construction work of Odia University at Satyabadi in Puri district.
In the first phase, construction work has been taken up in an area of 10.35 acre. The structures include a School of Learning with a capacity of 200 students, one hostel block for male and one for female students with capacity of 32 students each, a hostel for 16 scholars, library, cafeteria, an administration block and a well developed ‘Kunda’ (water body).
During his visit, Pandian inspected all the blocks and reviewed the progress of landscaping works and internal roads. Appreciating the architecture and progress of construction work, he instructed the authority to complete it by January 15, 2024.
The Odia University, a dream project of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, is located near the famous Vana Vidyalaya at Satyabadi. The beautiful and serene campus of the university has been designed by using Odia alphabets in its architecture.
The University will be a centre of excellence for research and development in Odia language. The campus will be inaugurated by the chief minister during the last week of January, 2024, said Pandian.
Secretary, Higher Education, Vice-Chancellor of the Odia University, Puri Collector and SP, Managing Director, OBCC and other officials accompanied Pandian.
