Bhubaneswar: Taking suo motu cognisance of the alleged kidnap-murder of a minor girl in Nayagarh district, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) on Monday directed the Odisha government to submit a detailed report within 10 days.
The Commission directed the Chief Secretary to submit the birth certificate and the postmortem report of the deceased, besides the FIR copy along with the current status of the investigation and the action taken by the police against the accused.
The directive of the Commission came in response to the memorandum submitted by the BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra earlier in the day.
