New Delhi: Amid the student-led protests, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday announced that the government would set up fast-track courts to ensure speedy justice in the alleged paper leaks. Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, slammed the PM over the issue.
A day after the LoP had alleged that there were zero convictions in the paper leaks over the past 10 years, PM Modi made this announcement.
PM Modi highlighted that protecting the interests of students remained a top priority for his government. He also warned of taking strict action against anyone who would attempt to jeopardise the future of the youth.
“We have decided to set up fast-track courts to ensure swift and stringent punishment for those involved in paper leaks. Have directed the concerned authorities and officials to take all necessary steps in this regard,” PM Modi wrote on X.
