PM Modi Goes Snorkeling In Lakshadweep, ‘In Awe’ Of Stunning Islands

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a wonderful break during his recent visit to Lakshwadeep.

In between meeting local people and inaugurating development projects worth over Rs 1,150 crore, Modi enjoyed the beautiful beaches and even tried snorkelling.

The PM on Thursday shared pictures of him trying out snorkeling in Lakshadweep and wrote that early morning walks along its pristine beaches were “moments of pure bliss”.

“I am still in awe of the stunning beauty of its islands and the incredible warmth of its people. I had the opportunity to interact with people in Agatti, Bangaram and Kavaratti. I thank the people of the islands for their hospitality,” Modi wrote on social media.

The PM said serene and tranquil Lakshadweep gave him an opportunity to reflect on “how to work even harder for the welfare of 140 crore Indians.”

He also shared his experience of snorkeling.

“During my stay, I also tried snorkeling — what an exhilarating experience it was! For those who wish to embrace the adventurer in them, Lakshadweep has to be on your list,” Modi stated.

“Lakshadweep is not just a group of islands; it’s a timeless legacy of traditions and a testament to the spirit of its people,” added the PM.

The Central government’s focus in Lakshadweep is to uplift lives through enhanced development, create opportunities for better healthcare, faster internet and drinking water, while protecting as well celebrating the vibrant local culture, Modi said.
