New Delhi: Sushant Singh Rajput’s sudden demise has sent a shockwave throughout the country and the nation is still struggling to register this news. Twitter is exploding with netizens sharing their grief remembering the actor for his on-screen glory and real-life talents.
Politicians and the actor’s colleague from the industry have taken to social media to express their sadness.
Expressing his sorrow, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, “A bright young actor gone too soon. He excelled on TV and in films. His rise in the world of entertainment inspired many and he leaves behind several memorable performances. Shocked by his passing away. My thoughts are with his family and fans. Om Shanti.”

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also shared his condolences with the actor’s friend and family saying, “Saddened to learn about the sudden demise of actor #SushantSinghRajput. Pray for peace to the departed soul and for strength to the bereaved family in these difficult times.”

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted in Hindi, “Shocking to hear the death of young Hindi film actor Sushant Singh Rajput. His acting ability, talent and skill were well-known. His demise is painful and it is a great loss for the film industry. May God give his family and fans the strength to bear this grief.”
Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad wrote, “Shocked to learn that super talented actor #SushantSinghRajput is no more. He was from my city Patna. Remember meeting him in Rashtrapati Bhawan during oath-taking ceremony last year. He had told me that his family lived in Rajiv Nagar, Patna. He had miles to go. He left too soon.”
Also, Minister of Railways and Commerce and industry Piyush Goyal wrote a long post expressing grief and talking about the importance of mental health, given that it is a suspected case of suicide.
