In view of the PM’s visit, top brass of Odisha Police, including DGP Abhay and Twin City Police Commissioner Sudhansu Sarangi, reviewed security at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.

A team of the SPG is also likely to review the security arrangements tonight, sources said.

Earlier in the day, the PM had assured all possible help from the Centre to Odisha and West Bengal in tackling cyclone Amphan.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik made an aerial survey of the affected districts in Odisha this afternoon and ordered for early restoration of normalcy in those areas.
