New York: Professional porn star Sophia Leone passed away at the age of 26.
The Florida-based Sophia was found dead in her apartment recently.
According to her family, the adult film star had not been responding to their calls for some time before being found unresponsive on March 1.
Her stepfather Mike Romero confirmed the news via GoFundMe, where Memorial funds will be raised.
“On behalf of her Mother & Family, It is with a heavy heart that I have to share the news of our beloved Sophia’s Passing. The Sudden loss of Sophia has left her family and friends devastated and in shock,” Romero wrote on the funding page.
“Sophia was found unresponsive in her apartment on March 1st, 2024, by her family. An investigation by local police into the cause of death is still ongoing,” he added.
“She was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend. She enjoyed traveling and always found ways to make everyone around her smile,” Romero continued.
This is the fourth incident of untimely death in the adult movie industry in the last two months.
Before Sophia, Kagney Linn Karter, Jesse Jane and Thaina Fields passed away.
Two days ago, another adult star Emily Willis revealed that she was struggling for her life while on a ventilator. She was taken to the hospital on February 5.
