Keonjhar: Taking a serious note of the death of three students due to snakebite at a coaching centre in Odisha’s Keonjhar, the district administration on Sunday ordered a probe into the incident.
Sources said Keonjhar district collector Ashish Thakare has reportedly directed the District Education Officer (DEO) to conduct an investigation into the incident.
DEO Purna Chandra Sethi has been directed to conduct the probe and submit a report on the findings.
Four students of the private residential coaching centre were bitten by a snake at Nischintapur village under the jurisdiction of Baria police station on Friday night. The incident happened when the students, all minors, were sleeping.
