PUBG Set For Return To India! Know Details

New Delhi: Here’s some good news for PUBG lovers. There are as chances that the popular gaming app may soon make a come back to India.

Following the ban on Chinese apps by the Indian government, PUBG Corporation has withdrawn its franchise partnership with China-based Tencent Games. With this move, the Chinese tag associated with PUBG will also drop, thus, opening the opportunity for it to make way back to India.

Krafton, based in South Korea, is the video game holding company that owns PUBG Corporation.

A recent job posting for “Corporate Development Division Manager” on LinkedIn especially for the Indian market hints at the same, reported the Times of India.

The job was posted on LinkedIn by PUBG Corporation on behalf of Krafton on October 20 and not Tencent Games. After the ban in India, PUBG Corporation said in September that it is “hoping to work hand-in-hand with the Indian government to find a solution”.

“PUBG Corporation will take on all publishing responsibilities within India. As the company explores ways to provide its own PUBG experience for India in the near future, it is committed to doing so by sustaining a localized and healthy gameplay environment for its fans.”

As posted on LinkedIn, PUBG Corporation is looking for somebody who can “jointly develop overall M&A and investment strategy for the gaming and related sectors (tech, media, entertainment, and etc.) mainly with the India market context.”
