London: Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary on Friday.
The longest-reigning monarch got married when she was 21. The wedding took place at Westminster Abbey on November 20, 1947. Elizabeth II has been queen since 1952.
The Royal couple, who are isolating at Windsor Castle because of COVID-19, will open a card from three of their great-grandchildren. The card features the number 73 as a pop-up.
The Queen is 94 years old while Prince Philip is 99. He has retired from public life while Queen Elizabeth II continues to carry out her duties.
