Question Paper Leak: Another Exam Cancelled In Odisha’s Sambalpur University

Sambalpur: Plus III final year Physics examination at Sambalpur University here was cancelled on Friday after the question paper was allegedly leaked and circulated on social media.

The examination was scheduled for 10 am.

According to sources, the screenshots of the question paper were circulated on WhatsApp late on July 11 night three days before the 6th semester (final year) examination. Terming it as a ‘mischief of some unscrupulous person’, the university authorities, however, had earlier refuted about leakage of Electromagnetic question paper of Physics Honours.

The authorities have now admitted to the question paper leak and the re-examination will be on July 20.

Notably, the varsity had cancelled the Plus III final year examination of Education Honours paper, scheduled on Thursday, after the question paper was leaked and went viral. Vice-chancellor Sanjiv Mittal had also ordered a probe into the incident. “Not the printed version but the manuscript of the question paper has been leaked. So, we have also recommended strong action against the professor who was entrusted with the responsibility to set the question paper,” Controller of Examination, Rabindra Kumar Panigrahi said.

The Education honours exam will now be held on July 19.

The final semester examination of the Plus III students of Sambalpur University, which began on July 12, will conclude on July 20.
