Bhubaneswar: The Indian Railways has decided to provide free transport for aid and relief materials to Kerala in view of the recent floods that have so far claimed more than 300 lives.
According to sources, the Railways will not charge any freight cost for transporting relief materials to any station in Kerala till the end of this month. Government organisations can directly avail this service while others have to get in touch with the Divisional Railway Managers for approval.

On the other hand, services of the following trains, passing through East Coast Railway jurisdiction, have been affected due to heavy rain, flood and landslides in the southern state of India.
12515 Trivandrum – Silcher Express leaving Trivandrum on 19.08.2018 cancelled.
12659 Nagercoil – Shalimar Express leaving Nagercoil on 19.08.2018 will run through diverted route via Tirunelveli – Muradnagar – Erode.
