Bhubaneswar: Rain coupled with thunder, lightning and gusty winds is likely to batter at least 22 districts of Odisha on Thursday afternoon, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning.
Bhubaneswar and Kataka cities are also likely to be affected by the weather conditions. gusty wind with speed up to 40 kmph may occur in the next three hours.
In a message issued at 1 pm, the IMD said light to moderate rain, thunder and lightning along with gusty wind speed up to 40 kmph is likely to occur in the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangapur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Balangir, Debagada, Boudh, Puri including Puri city, Khordha (including Bhubaneswar city), Jajpur, Nayagada, Kataka (including Kataka city), Kandhamala, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Anugola, Dhenkanal, Rayagada and Sonepur during the next 3 hours. A yellow warning has been issued for these districts during this period.
