Bhubaneswar: Rain accompanied by thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds is likely to lash at least seven districts of Odisha, including Bhubaneswar city, on Saturday evening, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
In a nowcast warning issued at 4.10 pm, the weather agency also issued a yellow warning for Khurda (including Bhubaneswar city), Puri, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Balasore, Nayagarh and Angul. Thunderstorm with lightning, light to moderate rain with wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph may occur in these districts within three hours.

People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions and be ready to move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
