Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued a nowcast warning for 17 districts of Odisha, including twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, till 5.20 pm.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower accompanied by lightning may occur at one or two places in Rayagada, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Ganjam, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Angul, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Nayagarh, Sambalpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur and Jajpur in next two hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch and move to safer places protect themselves from lightning strikes.
