Ranbir, Alia’s ‘Brahmastra’ Sets Post-Pandemic Record
Mumbai: Even before its release in theatres, ‘Brahmastra Part One: Shiva’ is making waves.
Ayan Mukerji’s much-awaited film, which will bring real-life couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt together on the big screen for the first time, has been seeing encouraging advance tickets booking.
According to trade analyst Sumit Kadel, 1.35 lakh tickets have been sold thus far. And with the film slated to hit theatres on September 9, there are still two more days to go for booking tickets in advance.
The previous Hindi films which saw high advance bookings post the COVID-19 pandemic were Kartik Aaryan-starrer ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ and Ranveer Singh’s ‘83’.
“#Brahmastra has sold 1.35 lakh tickets for the opening day at national chain multiplexes.. Records biggest advance for a hindi film post pandemic.. Last 2 days advance booking is likely to shoot up and final number may land around ₹ 2-2.5 lakh tickets. All set for BIG OPENING !!” Kadel wrote on Twitter.
