Ranji Trophy: Struggling Odisha Make Changes For Next 2 Games; Check Squad

Cuttack: After two disappointing performances, Odisha’s senior selection committee has made some changes in the squad for the next two Ranji Trophy matches, both at home.

Anshuman Rath and Govind Poddar have been named in the squad which will face Haryana from December 27 and Nagaland from January 3, 2023.

There is no place for experienced batsman Biplab Samantray in the 17-member squad.

Odisha started their campaign with a high-scoring draw against Baroda at Cuttack, collecting just one point after conceding the first-innings lead. But then they slumped to an innings defeat against Uttarakhand at Dehradun.

Batting let Odisha down against Uttarakhand, as they managed 213 and 165 in the two innings. Samantray scored 46 and 9.

The selectors also announced the squad for the next two U-25 C K Nayudu Trophy games against Karnataka & Vidarbha.
