New Delhi: Oppo’s new sub-brand Realme launched the Realme 2 Pro on Thursday at an event here. Not only did the company launch the new phone at a very competitive starting price of Rs 13,999 but also surprised everyone by unveiling a budget phone at Rs 6999.
The Realme 2 Pro has a 6.3-inch (1080×2340 pixels) full-HD+ screen with 90.8 per cent screen-to-body ratio, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 409ppi pixel density water drop-shaped display notch, which the company is calling Dewdrop. It is powered by the Snapdragon 660 SoC and has up to 8GB of RAM. The rear is a polycarbonate resin cover. The battery has a capacity of 3500mAh.
It comes loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS OS 5.2 custom software.
The dual-camera setup has a 16-MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture, 1/2.8-inch Sony IMX398 sensor, 1.12-micron pixel size, and 6P lens. There is a 2-MP secondary depth sensor. The front camera is a 16-MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture, and is equipped with AI Beauty 2.0 for better selfies.
The Realme 2 Pro comes in 3 options. The prices are as follows:
4GB RAM/ 64GB Storage – Rs 13,990
6GB RAM/ 64GB Storage – Rs 15,990
8GB RAM/ 128GB Storage – Rs 17,990
The Realme 2 Pro will be exclusively available on Flipkart from October 11. The colours available are Black Sea, Blue Ocean and Ice Lake. Jio is offering up to 1.1TB of data and there are no cost EMI options as part of launch offer.
Realme C1
The Realme C1 was a surprise launch by the company. It is a stripped down version of the Realme 2. It has the same 6.2 inch 1520×720 screen with a notch. It is also powered by the same processor, the Snapdragon 450. The battery is the same 4320mAh. The 13MP+2MP rear camera is also the same. The front camera is a smaller 5MP unit.
It comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. It comes in black and blue colours.
