Rhea Chakraborty’s Films Failed To Impress The Audience!

Mumbai: Bengaluru-born Rhea Chakraborty moved to Mumbai in 2009 to carve a niche in the Bollywood industry.

She started off as a VJ on MTV before switching to the film industry.

In the last eight years, Rhea has featured in seven movies. Unfortunately, all her films tanked at the box-office.

Here’s the list of Rhea’s flop movies:

  1. Tuneega Tuneega (2012)

Telugu romance drama ‘Tuneega Tuneega’, directed by MS Raju, starred Sumanth Raju and Rhea as the lead pair. The movie is about childhood friends who fall in love with each other. It failed to impress the audience.

  1. Mere Dad Ki Maruti (2013)

Directed by Ashima Chibber, ‘Mere Dad Ki Maruti’ featured Saqib Saleem, Rhea, Ram Kapoor and Prabal Panjabi in prominent roles. The movie was criticized for being a commercial of Maruti cars. Box-office collections for the film was just Rs 12.46 crore and it was declared a flop.

  1. Sonali Cable (2014)

‘Sonali Cable’, starring Rhea in the lead role, is a women-centric movie which revolves around a girl named Sonali who provides Internet services in Mumbai. The film received mixed reviews from fans and critics, but failed to leave the cash registers ringing at the box-office.

  1. Half Girlfriend (2017)

Post the failure of ‘Sonali Cable’, Rhea wasn’t getting too many offers. In 2017, she made a cameo appearance in ‘Half Girlfriend’. Starring Shraddha Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor in lead roles, ‘Half Girlfriend’ also flopped at the box-office.

  1. Dobaara: See Your Evil (2017)

Starring Saqib Saleem and Huma Qureshi in lead roles, ‘Dobaara: See Your Evil’ was the official remake of Hollywood movie ‘Oculus’. Rhea had a limited role. The movie turned out to be a dud at the box-office.

  1. Bank Chor (2017)

‘Bank Chor’ featured Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, and Rhea in the main roles. The movie revolves around Champak, who decides to rob a bank with the help of his two inexperienced friends. Though the movie was appreciated for its comedy content, it failed at the box-office.

  1. Jalebi (2018)

Rhea was last seen in Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘Jalebi’. Rhea played the role of Aisha who falls in love with a local guide named Dev. After marriage, Aisha becomes hesitant about getting pregnant, leading to a fallout between the couple. The movie landed in a soup because of its controversial poster and became the biggest flop at the box-office with a paltry collection of Rs 2.41 crore.
