On Monday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had urged everyone to follow the road safety rules in true spirit and spread awareness to protect precious lives.

Twin City Police Commissioner Sudhanshu Sarangi had called upon the people to shun  vehicles and opt for bicycles during the inauguration of he month. He also said that concerted efforts will be made to reach out to the masses in large number during this month-long campaign for creating awareness on road safety norms and traffic rules.

During the National Road Safety Month, awareness about the causes of road accidents and measures to prevent them will be highlighted by organising various activities across the state. The drive will continue till February 17.
