Rs 2.5 Lakh Snatched By Bikers In Odisha’s Boudh: Man From Ganjam Arrested

Boudh: Police have arrested a man involved in a robbery of Rs 2.5 lakh cash near Bridge Chhak in Odisha’s Boudh district this month.

The accused has been identified as Santosh (25) from Aska in Ganjam district. Police have recovered Rs 2 lakh of the stolen money from him.

The money was stolen from Ashok Kumar Aggarwal on September 21. After withdrawing Rs 4 lakh from a Punjab National Bank branch in Boudh, he drove towards Bridge Chhak. His son and daughter were with him. On the way, he gave Rs 1 lakh to a person. While he kept Rs 50,000 in his pocket, the rest Rs 2.5 lakh was kept in a bag in the car’s rear seat with his son sitting next to it.

While returning towards Boudh, Aggarwal stopped in front of a Honda showroom to buy grocery.

Two men arrived on a black and red Pulsar motorcycle, snatched the cash bag from the car and fled.
