Mumbai: Speculations about Mithun Chakraborty entering politics again was doing the rounds after RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat visited the actor’s bungalow here on Tuesday morning.
The meeting comes ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections in West Bengal and Mithun enjoys a massive fan following in the state.
Following the meeting, Mithun said, “I have a spiritual connection with Mohan Bhagwat. I had met him in Lucknow and later requested him to come to my home when he is in Mumbai.”
The Bengali star also denied rumours of him re-entering politics with BJP and said, “Do not speculate anything, nothing of that sort has happened yet.”
Mithun is a former Rajya Sabha member and was long associated with the ruling Trinamool Congress in Bengal before he resigned from the party in 2016 over health issues, India Today reported.
