New Delhi: Two Odia authors have been chosen for Bal Sahitya Puraskar and Yuva Puraskar for 2025 by Kendra Sahitya Akademi.
Subrat Senapati has been selected for Yuva Puraskar for his short story collection, ‘Kadambana’, while Rajkishore Padhi will receive the Bal Sahitya Puraskar for his children’s book, ‘Kete Phula Phutichhi’.
Both will receive engraved copper plaques and a cash reward of Rs 50,000 each at a special function by the Sahitya Akademi at a later date.
The Yuva Puraskar is given annually to talented writers aged 35 or younger for exceptional work in any of the 24 recognised Indian languages. The Bal Sahitya Puraskar celebrates outstanding contributions to children’s literature in these languages.
